Thank you for the writing cast. This was helpful. It not only helped reduce my anxiety levels as it relates to APA format; but I believe it also helps many grey areas stick out when I am writing. Some people learn better by seeing, hearing, or doing. I learn better by seeing, hearing, and doing. But in some topics, like APA formatting, I become more confused when I see a bunch of references on a page in a reference guide. This audio helped be relax and enabled me visualize some of the grey areas, which will hopefully guide me in my writing. I think that reducing anxiety about APA rules are the first step in becoming a successful scholarly writer. This will allow me to focus more on the content and professionalism as a writer and see APA format as a guide to help the reader and myself as I write. The knowledge that the faculty also went through this process and are understanding to the development of a scholarly writer also aids in the reduction of anxiety and increases the belief, that I too will become more and more successful as I write and excel in my degree program. Again thanks for the perspectives you took the time to point out.
